I know you want to get healthy, mama.
It’s been on your mind for not weeks, not months… but for years.
You’ve tried countless diets, restricting, workout programs, cardio/HIIT, meal planning, meal prepping, following specific programs, etc. But, nothing ever seems to stick.
You’ve heard a thousand times that it’s consistency and showing up that makes it get easier over time.
But, it’s not getting easier. You can’t stick to anything. It just feels like you’re swimming upstream and that creating a healthy lifestyle is just something that will never be feasible for you.
Does this speak to you at all?
The thing is — I know you felt this even before having kids because I was once there. I was SO confused and just felt like I was adding more and more to my plate with little return.
Once you add kids into the mix, you laugh at how much free time you once had and how you USED to think you were “busy.”
But, I promise… there’s a way to make getting healthy SO much easier.
First, though, I want to highlight 3 roadblocks keeping you from reaching your health goals. It’s important to unpack these to realize what has been truly holding you back so you can show up with a new plan and succeed moving forward!
Let’s get into it.

3 roadblocks keeping you from reaching your health goals
1 – You think you need to be perfect every day of every week or you’ve “failed”
The first roadblock keeping you from reaching your health goals is the “all-or-nothing” mindset. It plagues every single mama I have worked with and used to be my biggest downfall, too! It’s the mindset of missing a workout or getting off track with your diet and deciding you might as well throw in the towel for the rest of the day or week. You decide to start all over again the next upcoming Monday.
Basically, this is an endless cycle of setting yourself up for failure. This is not only unrealistic, but is overwhelming and stressful because as moms our schedule is constantly a moving target we can’t grasp. Our kids are unpredictable and there are always new fires we need to put out.
The key is to realize you need to be flexible and understand perfect days, weeks, and months aren’t realistic. In fact, the most successful people have micro-failures all the time. Their secret? They decide at any minute of the day to get back on track.
2 – If you don’t see quick physical results you’re doing something wrong
Any diet or fitness program that promises quick, mind-blowing physical results is something you should run away from… and fast! Anything with this mindset is not only going to further inflate your “all-or-nothing” mentality. But, most importantly, it is going to set you up for failure.
To get fast physical results it’s going to require you to be restrictive not only with your food, but with including a whole slew of daily behaviors/tasks that you have no time for as it is. More detrimentally, it WILL take a major toll on your body — which is what you should be concerned about if you want to not just lose weight… but truly get healthy long-term.
The right plan to getting healthy for life is to have a plan that allows you to make slow changes over time. These slow changes will make it easier for habits to stick for many years. First, you will FEEL a lot of changes when it comes to brain clarity and your daily energy levels. THEN the physical results will start to show after anywhere from 4-8 weeks!
Consistency in the right direction and patience are what you need.
3 – Your main focus to get results is on your diet and the type of workouts you’re doing
The third roadblock keeping you from reaching your health goals is putting way too much emphasis on changing your diet and doing specific workouts in order to get the results you want. While your diet and workouts are a factor in you losing weight long-term and creating a healthy lifestyle, they’re not even the first 4 habits you should be focusing on.
Instead, there are other foundational behaviors that you need to work on and create habits around that will make it so much easier to change your diet and workout routine. What are they? I created a free 13-page guide that breaks 6 key habits to help you become fit as a busy mom.
